Thanksgiving 2006 Newsletter

HAPPY HOLIDAY GREETINGS TO ALL!

Hi everybody, I did keep trying to get a newsletter out to you but time got away from me.  I had envisioned a fall letter with lots of autumn colors but somehow it didn’t happen and here it is…….late November!  Wow………have already seen the “white stuff” twice in October!  We will really try to get another newsletter out before Christmas, but the new website we have been constructing with special all inclusive packages has taken a lot of our time but hopefully can now devote more time to our newsletters again.

      WEDDINGS

We are seeing a nice trend in weddings and receptions at our inn.  We will be celebrating a unique wedding with a meal for 30 people.  We tailor each wedding for each individual  couple so think about us if you are looking for a lovely setting for your wedding.

NEW WEBSITE

We have just posted ski packages featured on our new website www.sanctuaryatwildwood.biz so be on the lookout!

WINTER GOLF – NEW-NEW-NEW!

We are offering some exciting and unique weekends for those golfers who think they can’t play golf in Michigan in the winter.  Fred Reeder, a top golf pro who is spending the winter in Michigan, will be conducting a golf school at the new dome facility in Schoolcraft with lodging at the Sanctuary and golfing at the dome.  The sessions will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  The first two dates are December 8-9-10th and the 15-16-17th.  Call now and reserve your spot!  1-800-249-5910.  We have all the details and several packages just posted on our new website www.sanctuaryatwildwood.biz in the last week.

GIFT CERTIFICATES

REMEMBER, we have gift certificates for all those “hard to buy for” people on your Christmas list.  Just call Dolly at 1-800-249-5910 or visit our sanctuaryatwildwood.biz site that features a variety of packages to fit all your needs.

Travelers Club Winners will appear in the next newsletter.  Be sure to read it, your name may be on it!

Originally domesticated by the Aztecs, the common turkey, or the Rio Grande gobbler, ranges from Mexico to the northern forests of North America. Although considered strong fliers, the common turkey can also run at speeds of up to 24 km/h (15 mph). In the wild, the common turkey may enjoy a life span of up to 12 years.  There are several flocks of these (American) birds in and around Southern Michigan and on a morning or evening one can see them briefly as they skirt and wind through the woods surrounding The Sanctuary.
